You Don’t Have to Wait Alone

You are praying. You are growing. You are doing what you know to do. And still, something feels heavy. This piece speaks to the quiet reality of loneliness in the waiting season and the reminder that connection is part of how God strengthens you.

FAITHLONLINESS

A serene morning scene with an open Bible, a steaming cup of tea, and soft sunlight filtering through a window.
A serene morning scene with an open Bible, a steaming cup of tea, and soft sunlight filtering through a window.

There are moments in this journey that must be walked alone.

Jesus did it. Forty days in the wilderness.
There were also moments where He slipped away, intentionally, to be alone with God.

So yes, there is a place for solitude.
There is a place where it is just you and God.

But then there are other moments.

Moments where the quiet does not feel peaceful, it feels loud.
Where the stillness sits heavy.
Where it feels like you are locked in a room watching the walls close in.

You are praying.
You are growing.
You are doing what you know to do.

And still, something feels heavy.

The residue of not having anyone to share life with.

Not because God is not there.
But because you are carrying your load of loneliness alone.

There are days where you can acknowledge the truth.

You are strong, but you are tired.

Tired of processing everything alone.
Tired of holding it together without saying it out loud.
Tired of acting like “me and God” means you do not need anybody else.

And if we are being real,
tired of not having a social life.

Sit with this.

God Never Meant for This to Be Solo

God calls for private time.
He meets you in those quiet places.
He strengthens you there.

But He also strengthens you through people.

There are things He will speak to you in prayer.
And there are things He will confirm when someone sits across from you and says,

“join the club.”

And something about that moment shifts the weight.

You are not explaining everything.
You are not overthinking every detail.
You are just understood.

There is something about being in the presence of people who are walking with God too.

Not perfect people.
Not people who have it all figured out.

Just people who are showing up, growing, and being honest along the way.

That kind of space does something to you.

It softens the pressure.
It quiets the noise in your head.
It reminds you that you are not the only one navigating this.

Scripture says in Ecclesiastes 4:9 (AMP),
“Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.”

That return looks like support.
It looks like strength.
It looks like someone being there when you do not feel like carrying it all.

Loneliness Is Not a Sign You Are Failing

It is easy to think something is off when loneliness shows up.

Like maybe you missed something.
Or you should be further along.
Or it should not feel this way if your faith is strong.

But loneliness does not cancel your faith.

It reveals a need.

A real one.

A God-designed one.

Connection.

There Is Still Room for People

You do not have to force it.
You do not have to rush it.

But you also do not have to shut the door on it.

There are people out there who are looking for the same thing.
Real connection. Real conversations. Real growth.

Sometimes it starts simple.

A conversation.
A small group.
One moment of not keeping everything to yourself.

And from there, it builds.

So Ask yourself:

Where have I gotten used to doing this alone?
What would it look like to open up just a little?
Who can I sit across from and be real with?

No pressure.
No performance.

Just honesty.

Believe me, there Is a Seat for You

You do not have to have everything figured out.
You do not have to clean it up before you show up.

You just have to be willing to not carry it all by yourself.

Because there is strength in fellowship.
There is relief in being understood.
And there is something God does in connection that you will not experience the same way alone.
